Our History<\/b><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Between 1978 and 1983 the political situation of the country was seesawing, resulting in diffrent military coup d’etat, while the unique pause of civil government occurred between 1980 and 1981. Later in 1982 was created a mixed government (both civil and military) that allowed an adjustment and a beginning of general country development with more economic stability.<\/p>\n

Baldi Consultancy Ltd therefore, started to operate in the commercial sector as a subagent for PIRELLI GOMME and OLIVETTI, as well as in the fishing sector for nets and accessories linked to that field. During the first years of operations, B. Baldi monitored eventual opening markets in Benin and Togo. Later on, those markets were set aside since French brought up markets were totally a different way of management at that time. Nigeria, was also a market that brought interest since there were a lot of projects in the agro processing field but the local currency was not convertible creating a whole lot of issues in the days back. Sierra Leone and Liberia were also looked into, as possible terrain for the consultancy business but instability at that time made the outcome negative. Therefore, the final decision on focusing on Ghana was taken by starting to operate in the various sectors like importation of goods in multiple fields.<\/p>\n

In 1985 the company was transformed in a Limited Liability Company. Thanks to this evolution B. Baldi Consultancy started to specialize itself in the industrial sector collaborating with S.E.C. from Viareggio for the supply of fishing boats for the State Fishing Corporation, as well as cold stores,\u00a0transportation vehicles, earth movement and construction with the support of financial resources from SACE for various institutions.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”96px”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

RAILWAYS<\/b><\/p>\n

Baldi Consultancy signed a contract with Ghana Railways for the rehabilitation of the Eastern and Central lines.\u00a0 The project was handled by ANSALDO TRASPORTI, CONSORZIO IRSA and ASTALDI SPA and completed in 3 years.<\/p>\n

The project was executed and financed by the Italian Co-operation for a value of 37billion Lira.<\/p>\n

ALITALIA G.S.A <\/b><\/p>\n

Baldi Consultancy in the person of Mr. Baldi Baldo and Mrs. Leone Rosaria, signed an agreement with ALITALIA SPA to become their GENERAL SALES AGENT for Ghana, with off-line flights embarking passengers from Abidjan and Lagos.<\/p>\n

ALITALIA IN GHANA<\/b><\/p>\n

Thanks to the constant and solid commitment through marketing and development actions, B. Baldi Consultancy achieved the turn of Alitalia flights back to Ghana. Initially, direct flights totally were twice a week but later on busted up to daily flights handling not only passengers but also Cargo. Due to various changes brought up in the company\u2019s policy, the mandate was then released by B.Baldi in 2008.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”96px”][vc_column_text]The commitment and time dedicated to develop a sector like the one of an airline with the handling of its passengers and cargo in all its aspects, naturally brought a decrease of the consultancy operations of the company.<\/p>\n

Even though it was less operational, B. Baldi Consultancy in those years still developed projects in the telecommunication field, collaborating with TELETTRA, ITALTEL, FATME and ERICSON; furthermore, also in the\u00a0Industrial sector with ANSALDO; collaboration in the nuclear industry; with ITALIMPIANTI, as well as deals for harbor cranes with EFIM.<\/p>\n

After the release of the mandate in 2008, the consultancy and projects revamped. Specifically, for the Tema port and its shipyard in the research of financial resources and investors interested in partnership opportunities.<\/p>\n

In these years there has been a strong flow of international companies interested in Ghana also due to the discovery of oil and gas in addition to the already substantial sectors of gold, manganese and bauxite. The growth of the economy favored a strong increase of infrastructures and civil buildings.<\/p>\n

An always very stable situation in the country favored a lot of companies encouraging the opening of local branches in Ghana. <\/strong>Today, B. Baldi Consultancy is a strategic partner for those interested International companies that are willing to expand their businesses in Ghana.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]The 11th December 2016 was a sad day for our company: after 400 years of activity in the consulting sector our Founder and President Baldo Baldi passed away.\u00a0 Strengthened by the experience gained and the teachings we will treasure forever, B.
